GRAMMY EFFECT FELT AT iTUNES CHARTS

Maren Morris, Keith Urban, Anderson .Paak and Adele saw the most dramatic chart effects in the immediate aftermath of Sunday night’s 59th annual Grammy Awards.

The iTunes album chart currently has 14 titles that made healthy leaps since the 5pm telecast started. Bruno Mars24K Magic rose to #2 from 14, Adele’s 25 shot to #6 from #20 and Sturgill Simpson’s A Sailor’s Guide to Earth spiked 28 slots to #7.

Increase for Morris was two-pronged: My Church is at 11, up from 39; the title track is #11 on the song chart, up from 105. Also scoring well on the song chart was Keith Urban’s duet with Carrie Underwood, “The Fighter,” which they performed on the show; it came out of nowhere to reach #6.

Grammy winners and performers were finding slots among newer titles that included a blockbuster soundtrack, a superstar’s new single and the residue of high-profile TV performances, the Super Bowl and the 2/11 Saturday Night Live.

The Weeknd’s last two albums have risen into the Top 30; .Paak’s Malibu coasted 55 slots to #22; and Lukas Graham sits at #28, up from #95.

The Bee Gees tribute pushed their Greatest to #37 while Metallica, A Tribe Called Quest and Gary Clark Jr. have also ventured into the Top 40.
