KEVIN KELLEHER
UPPED TO SONY COO

Kevin Kelleher will be promoted Chief Operating Officer of Sony Music Entertainment on 4/1, the day Rob Stringer starts as Sony Music Entertainment CEO.

Kelleher, currently Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will have oversight responsibility in all corporate areas and will work closely with Stringer in overseeing the company's global operations, and helping drive initiatives. He reports directly to Stringer.

“I am very happy to have Kevin taking on this expanded role, and I look forward to working with him by my side in this exciting time for our industry,” Stringer said.

With more than 20 years as a strategic and operational executive at Sony, he is responsible for overseeing the company’s worldwide financial and information technology operations and its business development/investment activities. He previously worked on the formation of Sony Music’s 2004 joint venture with BMG Music, and Sony’s subsequent 2008 acquisition of Bertelsmann’s 50% interest in Sony BMG. In 1995, he was involved in the original formation of the Sony/ATV Music Publishing joint venture with Michael Jackson.

Prior to joining Sony Music in 1992, Kelleher was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he had nothing to do with stuffing Oscar envelopes.
