Public Service Broadcasting and Pete Thompson (MD, Play It Again Sam)

Sony U.K. imprint Relentless and pubco Sony/ATV have signed new acts of late, while indie Play It Again Sam has agreed a worldwide licensing deal with trio Public Service Broadcasting.

Relentless A&R Adele White has secured the signature of Hackney musician Not3s (pronounced Notes). His latest single “Addison Lee” recently hit #3 on the Official Independent Single Breakers Chart and its video has had over 3m views on the YouTube channel of leading urban website GRM Daily.

Bedroom producer and vocalist Lil Silva is the latest addition to the roster of Sony/ATV U.K. He’s worked with Banks, Sampha, Mark Ronson and Skrillex, and has an EP landing on 5/13 via London indie label Good Years.

The Play It Again Sam deal comes ahead of the third album for Public Service Broadcasting. The band have sold over 150k across two albums, self-released via their own Test Card Recordings. They are managed by David Manders at Liquid Management, who said: “We have already put down some strong roots in several international territories, and, with a new album approaching, we felt this was the right time to grow our team further and partner with a wider network of experts internationally to help us expand on that success.

“[PIAS] are also a fiercely independent company and that sat well with the Public Service Broadcasting ethic.”
