TROY CARTER’S PURPLE REIGN

After a series of meetings and presentations, Comerica Bank, court-appointed to run the Prince estate, has chosen Spotify’s Troy Carter as the entertainment advisor for the estate going forward. Look for Carter to remain at the streaming giant for the forseeable future.

The well-respected industry executive is said to have pre-existing relationships inside the divided Prince camp, as legal giant Londell MacMillan and CNN commentator and former special advisor to the Obama administration Van Jones are currently representing differing factions bidding for control.

There are currently significant issues of ownership differentiation between the heirs. Carter, the Global Head of Creator Services at Spotify, is known as a skilled facilitator and consensus builder.
