BIG MOVES FROM BIG DEAL
Big Deal Music Publishing has bolstered its stable of execs with the addition of Kate Sweetsur and Joe Maggini. Sweetsur, named Senior Vice President A&R/Creative, will be based in London, while Maggini, the new Vice President/Head of Global Synch, will work from the pubco’s Encino, CA headquarters.
Sweetsur arrives at her new gig from BMG, where she was Co-Head of A&R/VP Creative. Maggini was the head of Format Music Solutions, an all-in-one shop that features a label, publishing company, custom music creation business and orchestral trailer library.
"Kate and Joe are great creative executives, and better yet awesome people, with outstanding integrity, who will only add to the ethos and vibe of Big Deal Music. I am thrilled to be working with them both," BDMP Founder/President Kenny MacPherson said, vowing to embark on a haggis binge to celebrate the new hires.
