U.K. MIDWEEKS: JUSTIN'S NEW AT #2

Justin Timberlake has entered the U.K’s Official Albums Chart at #2 with Man of the Woods (RCA), while Scottish band Simple Minds look set for their highest charting album in 23 years at #3. Over on singles, Rudimental, Jess Glynne and Macklemore’s “These Days” (Asylum) is challenging Drake’s reign at #1.

The Greatest Showman soundtrack (Atlantic) is still #1 on albums, while Timberlake sits 5k combined sales behind. He previously hit #2 in Blighty with The 20/20 Experience—2 of 2 in 2013.

Simple Minds are #3 with 18th studio album, Walk Between The Worlds (BMG), and British rockers Don Broco are set for their highest U.K. chart position yet with third album, Technology (Sharptone), entering at #4. Meanwhile, Rae Morris is just outside the Top 10 at #11 with her second set, Someone Out There (Atlantic).

On the midweek Official Singles Chart, “God’s Plan” (Island) by Drake could enjoy another week at #1 if “These Days” doesn’t catch up by the end of the week—there’s a gap of 5k combined sales between the two. The latter was released just over a week ago and has risen to #2 from #11 since Friday.

This week’s highest new entry looks set to come from The Weeknd— “Pray For Me” f/Kendrick Lamar (Island) is currently #16.

Elsewhere, Portugal. The Man is on course to crack the Top 10 with “Feel It Still” (Atlantic) currently up six places to #7 28 weeks after first entering the Top 100. Camila Cabello’s “Never Be The Same” (Syco) rebounds six places to #8.
