A DISNEY ZOMBIES ATTACK AT iTUNES

Unless your household has ‘tweens—or you work for the Walt Disney Co.—it’s quite likely the TV movie Zombies is not on your radar. The soundtrack, though, is Top 10 at iTunes.

Like most Disney Channel musicals—High School Music, Teen Beach Movies, Descendants—the plot involves friction between the kids who dress and behave differently and the kids who conform to norms. Naturally, a romance blossoms between one kid from each side, and voila, multiple lessons learned. Unlike earlier Disney films, Zombies is not a vehicle to any singers signed to Hollywood Records.

The film, starring Meg Donnelly and Milo Manheim, first aired on Friday, and sales of the Disney Records soundtrack started selling at a steady rate, much in the way previous soundtracks have sold. It currently sits at #5.

When Ken Bunt told us he was looking forward to Zombies, we just thought he was going on a bender at a tiki bar.
