SPRINT TOUTS TIDAL IN NEW PLAN

The fourth largest phone carrier, Sprint, has unveiled a deal with Tidal as part of its rebranded “unlimited” offering.

Its "Unlimited Plus" service, which starts at $70 per month for one line, includes a premium subscription to Tidal. The service replaces its “Unlimited Freedom,” which cost $60 for a line and included a six-month trial of Tidal. Since Tidal costs $10 a month, what’s the difference?

Dow Draper, Sprint's Chief Commercial Officer, told USA Today, "We did quite a bit of consumer research to figure out how we can make plans more meaningful to customers," which led to creating “Plus,” with Tidal, and “Basic,” without the streaming service.

"We see it as a bit of a platform that we call 'unlimited for all,'" says Draper. "There's unlimited for people who maybe don't need all these features and unlimited for people who want a lot more features."

We swear we did not make up that quote.
