BRYANT IS MVP AT MOSCOWITZ’S ALAMO

Alamo Records founder Todd Moscowitz has chosen Shari Bryant as General Manager/Partner.

In that role, Bryant oversees the label’s day-to-day operations, including recording, marketing, sales and streaming, touring and brand partnerships. She also maintains relations with all Alamo roster artists, including Lil Durk and Smoke Purpp, as well as Gucci Mane’s 1017 label.

After entering the business as an intern at Roc-A-Fella Records, Bryant spent five years as a product manager at Island Def Jam, overseeing projects for Jay-Z, Nas, Jadakiss and Juelz Santana. Her next job, a marketing post at Warner Bros. Records, brought her into contact with Moscowitz and Joie Manda, now Interscope EVP. In 2013, Bryant became an SVP of Marketing at Atlantic and GM of Atlantic imprint MMG.

“I’m excited to be given a platform where I am able to dedicate true resources to developing new talent and new executives,” Bryant said in the announcement. “I’m also delighted to be reunited with Todd Moscowitz and Joie Manda at our partner label, Interscope—both forward-thinking executives who I have had major success with in the past. I’m looking forward to doing it all over again.”

“It's always lucky to be able to work with the people in the industry that you admire and respect, and no one fits that bill more than Shari,” Moscowitz enthused. “With all the opportunities that were available to her, I feel so blessed that Shari chose to come be my partner at Alamo. It's really a happy day for me personally and a huge win for our whole organization, which she will take to the next level.”

Bryant, who holds a B.A.Sc. in political science and government from the City University of New York-John Jay College of Criminal Justice, is passionate and committed to helping young women of all ages through her women's-empowerment company, PinkestLuv.
