For those of you who are keenly interested in the upcoming midterm elections and wish to put your money where your mouth is, we draw your attention to two upcoming events offering face time with a couple of major political stars. Both benefit Democratic Congressional candidate and UC Irvine law prof Katie Porter.

The first, on Saturday, 10/6 in Laguna Beach and hosted by Suzi Dietz and Lenny Beer, offers an opportunity for an intimate lunch with Sen. Elizabeth Warren. If you'd like to attend, suggested contributions range from $1k (friend) to $2,700 (patron), and contributions are welcome here.

Then, on Monday, 10/8, in Sherman Oaks at noon, the Dietz-Beer tandem will welcome special guest House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi. In addition to the higher-tier contribution categories, a special $250 "activist" ticket has been established.
