STREAMING SONGS: "GUY" EDGES OUT "ROAD"

Billie Eilish finishes the week atop another chart, as her "bad guy" (from her new #1 album on Darkroom/Interscope) takes the #1 spot on our Streaming Songs Chart, edging out Columbia's country-trap sensation "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X.

Billie has three of the Top 4 songs on the chart and six of the Top 10, as "bury a friend," "wish you were gay," when the party's over," "xanny" and "you should see me in a crown" take the #3, #4, #8, #9 and #10 spots, respectively. There's plenty more further down the chart, which you can investigate your own damn self.

While Billie surely deserves all the hosannas heaped upon her, we'd be remiss in not acknowledging the missile that is Lil Nas X, who comes within 800k or so streams of "bad guy." "Old Town Road" has a new remix featuring Billy Ray Cyrus that has supercharged its streams, so let's see what happens next. In any case, we note that the song appears on three of the very biggest Country playlists on Spotify, so, um, what's the rationale for it not being a country song again?

The chart's top debuting tracks not by Billie Eilish are "Beautiful Crazy" by River House/Columbia Nashville's Luke Combs (#41) and "Suge" by Interscope's DaBaby (#49).
