LITVAG LANDS
AT BLACKBIRD

Joe Litvag has joined Blackbird Presents as a partner and in the newly created post of President of Live Entertainment. From his New York base, he’ll oversee all of Blackbird’s live projects and lead the development of new live events for the company.

This summer, Blackbird Presents will produce the fourth annual Outlaw Music Festival Tour in partnership with Willie Nelson. The lineup includes Willie, Phil Lesh & Friends, The Avett Brothers, Robert Plant, Bonnie Raitt and Luke Combs.

“Joe’s deep experience in creating, building and executing a range of business plans and projects in the live music industry is extraordinary,” reads CEO Keith Wortman’s statement. “The respect and admiration he has across our industry makes him the ideal person to lead Blackbird Presents in our next phase of growth.”

In his comments, Litvag noted that Blackbird’s business “is built on their exceptional personal relationships with artists, managers and agents, and it’s refreshing to see such a wonderfully simple yet unique approach to its rapidly expanding portfolio: Focus on iconic artists, put their music and legacy front-and-center and celebrate them in a first-class way.”

Litvak comes to the company after spending 15 years as SVP at AEG Presents, following a decade at Contemporary Productions/SFX Entertainment/Clear Channel Entertainment, where he rose to VP of Concerts.
