GRAMMY'S TOP NOMS
BY THE NUMBERS (PART 1)

Let's take a look at how the nominees for Record and Song of the Year have fared in the marketplace, in terms of total activity. These U.S. song equivalents are analogous to old-school singles sales. In case you're wondering how we tabulate these release-to-date totals, it's a pretty straightforward formula involving a chimp, an abacus, a system of weights and pulleys and a thimble of ayahuasca.

Stay tuned for more Grammy noms by the numbers, as soon as the chimp sleeps it off.
