RAPPERS HONOR THE LAST POETS

Rakim, Chuck D, KRS-One, Black Thought and others will participate in a virtual celebration of The Last Poets tonight on Facebook.

The Universal Hip Hop Museum and Video Music Box are producing the event, Bridging The Gap: An Evening of Conversation with the Last Poets, which begins at 7pm ET/4pm PT. Ralph McDanels is the host; Chubb Rock, Doug E Fresh, Jadakiss, Rapsody and Smif-N-Wessun are among the participants.

Surviving members of the group—Abiodun Oyewole, Umar Bin Hassan and Don Babatunde—will be on hand to discuss their work.
