DEF JAM'S NIMENE GETS BUSIER

You may recall Def Jam SVP of Urban Promo Natina Nimene from our Noisemakers section. Now Natina is expanding her brief to include Artist Relations. In addition to other duties, she’ll now serve as a “liaison” for label acts like Big Sean, YG, Teyana Taylor, Jeezy and 2 Chainz, among others.

“Natina has a unique and special talent for understanding and communicating with artists,” said label ruler Jeff Harleston. “Her experience, network and instincts are so important to what we’re trying to do as a company. This promotion and expansion of her role is beyond well-deserved.”

Nimene’s philanthropic work includes a spot on the advisory board for the National Museum of African American Music; she also sits on UMG’s Task Force for Meaningful Change.

In other entertainment-industry news, the fly on Mike Pence’s head now has representation.
