BIZ PRESSES PAUSE FOR THE ELECTION

The music biz is facing the reality that the election is all most people can think about. The major labels are therefore either closing today or giving staff the opportunity to take the time for political/civic activity.

UMG and Sony are closed today , and WMG, though not officially closed is giving employees time off to volunteer or “exercise their civic duty,” with many departments due to take election day off.

WME gives employees ample time to vote as well as two paid "volunteer days." CAA and UTA are closed for the election.

So if you haven't voted, get out to the polls. If you've already voted—and you ’re freaking out—read this.
