MARY J. BLIGE BRINGS LIFE TO NEW NMAAM PODCAST

Mary J. Blige is one of the guests on the debut episode of the "State of Black Music" podcast produced by the National Museum of African American Music (NMAAM) and Visit Music City.

The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul discusses her engaging documentary, My Life, which debuted on 6/25 on Amazon Prime. The film traces Blige’s tumultous life through the warts-and-all lens of her seminal 1994 album, also called My Life. Blige just self-released the new song “Hourglass,” which accompanies the doc’s end credits.

Celebrity stylist Misa Hylton also appears on the podcast, which can be found on Spotify and Apple Music as well as NMAAM’s own YouTube channel.
