TAG, THEY'RE IT! SHAZAM'S BIGGEST MOVERS

“Love Nwantiti (ah ah ah)," from Afrobeat sensation CKay, has stormed charts around the world and has now caught the attention of Shazammers in the States.

The Chocolate City Music release from 19 months ago has gained steadily in popularity, most recently thanks to a remix that landed on TikTok in July. The rest of the acts in the Top 5 Biggest Movers list are all familiar names.

TikTok is also helping the revival of Billie Eilish’s song for 13 Reasons Why, “Bored” (Darkroom/Interscope), while Queensryche’s “Silent Lucidity,” released by Capitol in 1990, shoots up the Shazam U.S. Top 100 after a placement in Nine Perfect Strangers. A sync in The Starling boosts a song from Brandi Carlile’s tenure on Columbia, “That Wasn’t Me.”

And, of course, anytime there’s something new from BTS it makes waves, both in the U.S. and the U.K., where the Biggest Gainers list is led by Maulo’s “Ambition.”
