THE WEEKND GREETS '22 WITH NEW MUSIC

The Weeknd will put out Dawn FM (XO/Republic), the follow-up to the double-platinum #1 After Hours, on Friday, saying on social media that “music can heal.” The trappings of a formal release aren't in the cards this time, however.

Per a screen grab of a Weeknd text exchange with creative director La Mar Taylor, “Everything feels chaotic again. Music can heal and that feels more important than another album rollout. Let’s just drop the whole thing and enjoy it with the people.”
