U.K. CHARTS: BASTILLE SCORES THIRD #1

Bastille has claimed its third U.K. Official Albums #1 with Give Me the Future (Virgin). Over on singles, ArrDee and Aitch have this week’s highest new entry.

Bastille hit the top on 85% physical sales and also claimed the biggest digital-download figure of the week. Give Me the Future is one of three new entries in today’s Top 5, followed by Black Country, New Road’s Ants From Up There (Ninja Tune) at #3 and The Divine Comedy’s self-released greatest-hits collection, Charmed Life, at #5.

Mitski’s Laurel Hell (Dead Oceans) is also new, at #6, while Korn’s 14th album, Requiem (Loma Vista), enters at #8.

A number of winners and performers at this week’s BRITs have enjoyed sales boosts; Ed Sheeran’s = (Atlantic) is up two to #2 and Adele’s 30 (Columbia) climbs one to #4. Dave’s debut, Psychodrama (NBR/UMG), is up 60 places to #7 following its release on vinyl, and his latest album, We’re All Alone in This Together, is up 11 places to #22. Sam Fender rises 12 places to #20 with Seventeen Going Under (Polydor).

On the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart, Encanto’s “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” (Walt Disney) has a fourth week at #1 on 59k in sales, including 8.5m streams. The soundtrack’s “Surface Pressure,” by Jessica Darrow, meanwhile, has climbed one to a new peak of #3.

This week’s highest new entry is ArrDee and Aitch’s “War” (Island), at #6. “Make Me Feel Good” (Polydor), by Belters Only f/Jazzy, climbs one to #8.

Just outside the Top 10, Liverpool rapper Hazey rises four to #11 with viral single “Packs & Potions” (Sony). Liam Gallagher has his first solo Top 20 hit, with “Everything’s Electric” (Warner Music U.K.) debuting at #18.
