SONG OF THE SUMMIT

At an AEG Presents-hosted happy hour on the roof of L.A.’s Grammy Museum, a bunch of philanthropically inclined luminaries gathered for the final day of the 2022 HBCU in L.A. Summit. The event, produced in partnership with the Entertainment Industry College Outreach Program (EICOP) and the HBCU in L.A. Internship Program, drew nearly 300 attendees, 84 of them interns from HBCUs and MSIs (Minority Serving Institutions); also present were highly placed folks from AEG, AMC Networks, CAA, Disney, Endeavor Group Holdings, Mattel, the NAACP, Rosecrans Ventures, Warner Media and UTA, among other entities. Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul, who advises the White House on HBCUs, delivered remarks and huddled with interns for a Q&A.

Then, of course, it was time for a big photo op. Seen hoping the caption isn’t filled with abstruse university references about studying Wittgenstein or some shit are (l-r) AEG EVP/Chief Administrative Officer Kevin McDowell, AEG President/CEO Dan Beckerman, AEG Presents President, Global Touring Gary Gersh, Paul, EICOP CEO Stacy Milner and COO Leonard Washington and AEG Presents SVP Global Touring Kelly Stelbasky.
