QC ADDRESSES TAKEOFF'S DEATH

Quality Control Music and CEO Pierre "P" Thomas have addressed the death of Migos rapper Takeoff, who was fatally shot Tuesday (11/1) at a Houston bowling alley.

In a statement posted to Instagram, QC asked for "respect" for Takeoff's family and friends as they "process this monumental loss" while condemning the "senseless violence" plaguing the rap community.

Thomas admitted via Instagram that he was struggling to find the words to express his grief. "Anybody that knows me knows how much I love you [Takeoff]," he wrote, "and anybody that knows you knows that you definitely didn’t deserve to die at such a young age." He also said that there needn't be violence "every time there is a disagreement," continuing, "It’s ok to love your brother and sister. We all have been guilty of self-hate, but I pray this never-ending cycle will some day change us all."

Takeoff was just 28 at the time of his death.

The Houston Police Department has yet to identify a suspect.
