BRITS WEEK SHOWS RAISE £411K

Beabadoobee performs at London’s Outernet.

BRITs Week shows—featuring the likes of Beabadoobee, Rina Sawayama and The 1975—have raised £411k to aid the charity War Child.

The sum takes the total raised by BRITs Week since its inception in 2009 to more than £5.5m. AEG Presents produced the series with the BPI.

This year, the Mastercard-sponsored series visited the most cities yet, with 15 dates in London, Manchester, Bristol and Glasgow. Artists on the bill also included The Snuts, Cavetown, Kojey Radical, Sea Girls, Sugababes, The Hunna and Years & Years.

Proceeds from the shows support War Child’s work supporting children whose lives have been disrupted by war. The charity aims to reach kids as early as possible after conflict breaks out and stay to keep them safe, helping them cope with their experiences and equipping them with skills for the future.
