RHINO CELEBRATES THE BAND'S FAREWELL

Rhino Records is diving into a 45th-anniversary celebration of The Band’s The Last Waltz with screenings of the film and a three-LP audiophile pressing, which will arrive Friday (10/6).

On Thursday, The Last Waltz will be screened at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles and Rhino Entertainment President Mark Pinkus will speak on a panel. Friday will see an industry showing at Analog in Nashville.

The Band's epic goodbye will return to theaters nationwide for one day only: 11/5. Screenings will be hosted by AMC and Regal theaters. A list of participating outlets can be found here.

The Last Waltz was a farewell concert performed by the influential Canadian American rock group on 11/25/76 at Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. Martin Scorsese captured the proceedings for posterity in his 1978 film of the same name.
