T BONE RETURNS

T Bone Burnett will release his first solo album in nearly 20 years, The Other Side (Verve Forecast), on 4/19. In May, he'll play his first full-length concerts in two decades.

The album’s lead single, “Waiting for You,” with Lucius on harmony vocals, is out today (2/28).

The 12-song The Other Side is centered on a love story, following the journey of a couple that may no longer be of this plane. Co-produced by Colin Linden, Mike Piersante and Burnett, the album features Rosanne Cash and early bandmate Steven Soles, newer artists Lucius and Weyes Blood, and musical companions including Dennis Crouch, Stuart Duncan, Jay Bellerose and Rory Hoffman.

Burnett will play three shows in Nashville in May: The Franklin Theatre on 5/3; The Blue Room at Third Man Records on 5/9 and The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s CMA Theater on 5/10. Tickets go on sale Friday (3/1).
