Rising singer-songwriter Debbii Dawson has inked to RCA. Her first single with the label, “Happy World,” arrived on 4/19 as the first offering from her forthcoming EP.
“‘Happy World’ offers a glimpse into my psyche and paints a picture of the world I created for myself while living in isolation,” said Dawson, who crafted the track alongside her frequent collaborators and co-writers Alida Peck (Katy Perry, Kylie Minogue, Dua Lipa) and Zhone (Troye Sivan, Jason Derulo, Inji), the latter of whom also produced the track.
Last year Dawson dropped her debut EP, Learning, which featured breakout singles “Eulogy for Nobody” and “Even If It Kills Me.”
She also recently inked an exclusive co-publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music and Katy Perry’s Unsub Publishing, with Wasserman on board globally as her booking agency.
Now, she’s gearing up to join Orville Peck as support on select dates of his Stampede North American Tour, headline dates across Europe and make festival appearances at The Great Escape in the U.K. and Hinterland Music Festival in the U.S.
