Sony/ATV Music Publishing Nashville has inked country songwriter Marv Green to a worldwide publishing deal.

Throughout his career, Green has penned #1 country hits like George Strait’s “True” and “It Just Come Natural,” Carrie Underwood’s “Wasted,” Chris Young’s “Who I Am with You," Lonestar’s "Amazed" and more.

He's also penned chart-toppers by Rodney Atkin, Eric Church, Merele Haggard and Willie Nelson, among others. His latest Top 10 single on the chart is Tim McGraw’s “I Called Mama.”

“Championing the songs of Marv Green is a true honor— he has crafted timeless hits that capture the heart and soul of country music. The way he weaves his West Coast cool into every one of his songs makes each single a notch above the rest,” said Sony/ATV Nashville CEO Rusty Gaston.

Green added, “I’m beyond excited to start a new catalog of songs with Sony/ATV and their inspiring creative team.”

Green has also worked with country acts like Brad Paisley, Billy Currington, Kenny Chesney, Brooks and Dunn, Faith Hill, Sara Evans, Martina McBride and more. He’s also earned numerous awards including BMI’s Song of the Year and Songwriter of the Year as well as an ACM and Grammy nomination for his single “Amazed.”
