With a record number of nominations, Downtown Music Publishing scored big at the 63rd Grammy Awards on Sunday (3/14).

Downtown-repped artists, writers and producers, including Cautious Clay, Dez Wright, DuBose & Dorothy Heyward, John Prine, Fiona Apple, George Gershwin, John Leventhal, Miles Davis, Ryan Tedder, Zach Skelton and more, earned or contributed to 12 winning works across 13 categories.

Categories included Best R&B Album, Best Latin Pop or Urban Album, Best Alternative Music Album, Best Contemporary Blues Album, Best Reggae Album, Best Americana Album, Best Jazz Instrumental Album, Best Opera Recording, Best Rock Performance, Best American Roots Performance, Best American Roots Song, Best Improvised Jazz Solo and Best Music Video.

Additionally, Grammy-winner Brandi Carlile performed Prine’s posthumously-released “I Remember Everything,” in memoriam to the late folk star.
