WHAT IT IS: The Peruvian-born, singer/songwriter and producer strikes a compelling balance, merging alternative R&B, slick Latin, 21st century hip-hop and his own bold take on pop. The EXOTIGAZ EP has already amassed 30m+ global streams since its December release. The set followed his 2018 break-through smash, “Love N Hennessy (Remix),” which featured 2 Chainz and Nicky Jam and has notched 56m+ cumulative streams. And his recently released music video for “LA DUEÑA,” which features Latin trap rapper Darell , was highlighted by a YouTube “ Artist on the Rise” nod. The fashion world also sought out A.CHAL as a tastemaker, bringing him campaigns for The Gap (#MeetMeInTheGap; fall 2018) and Ermenegildo Zegna (Jan 2019).
