The American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) has announced the launch of A2IM Artist, a new program designed to empower independent artists. The program aims to give artists tools for success, like providing a mix of curated events as well as online educational content.
Taking place on Monday evenings in various cities across the U.S., the live events feature two hours of panel discussions and access to music industry experts, followed by an hour for networking and socializing.
A2IM Artist events kick off in Columbus, Ohio, followed by Miami and Philadelphia, with more cities to be announced later. “A2IM has done fantastic work, giving a voice to the independent label sector, leading the fight for equitable royalties and now the artists themselves,” says Bruce Garfield, Executive Director of the Columbus Music Commission.
2IM Artist members will also have access to an A2IM Artist portal designed with more content on how to succeed in the streaming economy. For more info about A2IM, click here.
