KUNZITE—a new project from RATATAT’s Mike Stroud and White Flight’s Agustin White—have released their newest single, “Saturn,” via Lowly Records on 12/21. Arriving ahead of Winter Solstice, the track shares a special moment with the conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter as the planets come within .1 degree of each other.
Blending electronic and psychedelic sounds, the single gives fans an idea of what they can expect from KUNZITE’s sophomore album, which is set for release later this year. The new drop also follows their previous single “NOVAS,” which arrived last year as the first track off the album.
The duo first started releasing music together in 2018 and dropped their debut album, BIRDS DON’T FLY. Since then, they’ve accumulated over 83k monthly listeners on Spotify, continuing to grow their fanbase.
Stay tuned for more from the duo. In the meantime, stream “Saturn” here and check out the music vid below.
