WHAT IT IS: Sister duo Tigirlily Gold have been playing music together since they could walk. After forming their band in high school, the siblings crisscrossed the Midwest while growing their fan base and selling out amphitheaters across their home state of North Dakota. After moving to Nashville, they landed a weekly residence at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row and in 2021, they dropped their single, “Somebody Does,” which topped the iTunes chart. After releasing their self-titled debut EP—on which they worked with multi-Grammy winner Shane McAnally—Tigirlily Gold hit the road with artists including Walker Hayes and Ashley McBryde. They’ve kicked off 2023 with the TikTok-assisted single “Shoot Tequila,” with more new music coming in the spring.
