DEF JAM ACTS CONTRIBUTE TO MARVEL'S BLACK PANTHER COMIC

In an effort to highlight young Black creative voices, Def Jam and Marvel have partnered to feature stories from three rising acts—Saint Bodhi, Bobby Sessions and Kaash Paige—in the Black Panther comic series; they will contribute character-driven narratives to Black Panther issues #23, #24 and #25, the final installments in the "Intergalactic Empire" saga from writer Ta-Nehisi Coates and artist Daniel Acuna.

Black Panther #23—arriving 2/24 to coincide with Black History Month—will see buzzing South L.A. singer/songwriter Saint Bodhi share her take on Storm for a story grounded in tragedy and acceptance. One month later, in issue #24, Dallas-native Sessions will spin a narrative about the King of Wakanda, Black Panther himself. And R&B breakout Paige will unveil a tale of Wakandan Princess Shuri and the power of knowledge in series finale #25, out in April.

In keeping with the Def Jam Forward initiative to promote social, economic and educational equality, each three-page story will be accompanied by an exclusive artist profile.
